WAGO has developed I/O modules which, instead of 8 channels, now accommodate 16 channels with spring clamp connection in the usual 1⁄2 inch (12mm) slim module housing. This enormous packing density provides the user with more space in the switch cabinet and a lower channel price at the same time.
Starting at the beginning of next year, there will be five additional IP67 modules available for SPEEDWAY. Initially, the I/O system in IP67 will contain an analog input module for thermocouples (TC module) with cold-junction compensation. In addition, SPEEDWAY will be expanded to include two low-side switching, digital input and output modules.
Automation Cockpit, as the new WAGO development environment is called, supports all WAGO products: from the various automation systems (IPCs, controllers and couplers) to the HMI devices in the PERSPECTO family.
With IO-Link there is a high-performance standard available that easily integrates the entire product range of sensors and actuators into automation concepts. The new 750-657 IO-Link Master Module from WAGO offers four channels based on this standard in a 1/2 inch (12mm) wide module housing.
WAGO has expanded the EPSITRON power supply system within the PRO family to include single-phase power supply devices. 12Ah rechargeable battery modules and a high-performance charging unit have also been added to the system's uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).
With PERSPECTO, WAGO has a complete HMI (Human Machine Interface) device family in its program effective immediately: from touch monitors that can be connected directly to a Web panel on through to the programmable control panel. They are perfectly attuned to the WAGO automation systems and ease the operation and observation of process data on machines and systems.
WAGO GmbH & Co. KG is taking a stake in elrest Automationssysteme GmbH Kirchheim. This was announced by the two Managing Directors Sven Hohorst and Gerald Schauer at a joint press conference on the occasion of SPS/IPC/DRIVES in Nuremberg.
