Terminal blocks and strips exposed to potential explosive environment need special approvals and are tested at a higher level than normal terminal blocks. WAGO offers self-extinguishing terminal blocks in both Ex e (increased safety) and Ex i (intrinsically safe) for conductors up to 95 mm².
