New I/O-IPC for WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750/753
The I/O-IPC is the ideal embedded-PC platform for machine-oriented use in the industrial environment. It can be used as a communication gateway and an integrated Web server enables operation via intranet or Internet. For communication with higher-level systems and the IT world, the I/O-IPC has two completely-independent Fast Ethernet interfaces, 2xUSB, RS-232 and a CompactFlash interface. The use of a DVI interface for direct connection of a monitor is especially worth mentioning. Optional interfaces for PROFIBUS DP and CANopen are provided for the fieldbus communication. Nearly all the more than 400 input and output modules from the portfolio of the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM can be used with the I/O-IPC.
Although the I/O-IPC has a complete Linux operating system, with the IEC 61131-3-based software WAGO-I/O-PRO CAA, it offers a programming and development environment that is familiar to the automator from CoDeSys CAA. Besides programming in 5 IEC languages, a visualization can be conveniently created using integrated visualization editors. Integrated configurators are available for easy configuration of optionally available fieldbus connections (PROFIBUS DP, CANopen). With the WAGO distribution available for the first time, the Linux programming expert can modify the operating system at any time and decide whether or not which features should be incorporated into the system.
The fanless and passively cooled DIN rail-mountable PC offers high computing power in the smallest spaces possible. It is scalable from Geode 266MHz via Celeron 600MHz up to Pentium M 1.4GHz. No movable data memories have been used in order to secure the PC against vibrations. A retain memory is available for non-volatile storage of PLC variables. The built-in real-time clock is buffered by a battery.
