AUCOTEC's latest product generation, Engineering Base (EB), is an E-CAE platform based on cutting-edge technology that offers different industry-specific solutions from one tool.

Consistently object-oriented, EB stores all engineering data in one database and offers easy, convenient processing by providing access via Explorer, graphics or tables. The developers attached great importance to flexibility and universal use in an easy-to-learn environment. Consequent use of the Microsoft standard tools SQL Server, Visio and VBA is a unique feature of this program. The integrated database ensures the highest level of consistency, as the latest versions of lists and diagrams are always available, regardless in which view changes are made - multiple entries are a thing of the past. The Microsoft SQL Server can be used at stand-alone workstations and for large work groups alike - engineering can be performed online from anywhere in the world. EB is also completely Unicode compatible.

Solutions can easily be re-used using just the simple Copy function, as there is no limit to the number of projects that each EB database can contain. Thanks to the data model that is employed, EB's revision and change management function detects any and every change (such as in wiring), even without graphic representation, making this is an invaluable advantage for pre-production or maintenance and upgrading processes.
