Tool-less assembly
Shield (screen) clamping saddles with spring clamp connection. The spring clamp connection of the new WAGO screen clamping saddles contacts the screening web of shielded wires with pre-programmed, "diameter-appropriate" clamping force - mostly independent of the operator's diligence. The series 791 shield connecting system are available in four different sizes.
The system covers the entire range of cable diameters (1.5 to 6.5 mm, 5 to 11 mm, 10 to 17 mm, 16 to 24 mm). The clamping saddles can be mounted and removed without tools. Furthermore, the connection between the braiding and the busbar is made automatically when the clamping spring is released. The clamping saddles are equipped with receptacles for 10 x 3 mm and 18 x 3 mm busbars. This prevents an accidental twisting of the busbar through touching when in a mounted condition.
The series 791 clamping system offers busbar carriers in two different sizes. Due to its dimensions and the length of its carrying arm, the smaller version is designed for use with rail-mounted terminal blocks, whilst the larger and higher carrier is intended for use with the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM components.
