STEP 2005, a team of young soon-to-be State-certified engineers in the fields energy engineering and process automation, reacted to the "SOS" by Professor Dr. Volker Sommer sent to his friend Horst Hoppe, teacher for electrical engineering at the Oskar-von-Miller-School in Kassel. WAGO sponsored the connection technology for this project.
