New 12 V and 48 V Power Supplies with Extra Power

The EPSITRON^® PRO Power Supply Series from WAGO has been expanded to include power supplies in 12 and 48 VDC outputs. Both single- and three-phase power supplies with short extra power via TopBoost and PowerBoost are available for 12, 24 and 48 V output voltages.

The new single-phase PRO Power Supplies provide 6, 10 or 15 A output currents at an adjustable 12 VDC voltage. Devices with 48 VDC output voltage supply 5 A or 10 A. All PRO Power Supplies have a two-stage PowerBoost delivering up to 200 % of the nominal output voltage for 4 s and up to 150 % for an additional 4 s. This allows high inrush currents or load changes to be handled safely, while eliminating expensive oversizing of the power supply.

The integrated TopBoost also provides a multiple of the nominal current for 25 ms, allowing cost-effective circuit breakers to be used for load circuit protection. In addition, protection via circuit breakers allows compliance with EN 60204-1 requirements for ground fault protection. With an efficiency factor of up to 94 % and remote controlled stand-by mode, the new PRO Power Supplies help saving energy.
