Innovative connections using the I/O system as an example: A lack of flexibility, coupled with the associated high costs of the solutions available on the market in the 90s for automation represented a challenge to be taken up by WAGO.
In 1995 we presented the first modular, fieldbus-independent WAGO I/O system Series 750 with a completely new technological approach: For the first time ever it was possible to freely select the specific fieldbus to be used. Instead of modules having a large number of channels, inputs and outputs were combined in a bimodular design, and input and output process images could be flexibly configurfed. This layed the foundation stone for a further field of specialization.
Today, more than a decade later, WAGO possesses one of the most extensive product portfolio in this sector.
