STEP 2005, a team of young soon-to-be State-certified engineers in the fields of energy engineering and process automation, reacted to the "SOS" by Professor Dr. Volker Sommer sent to his friend Horst Hoppe, teacher of electrical engineering at the Oskar-von-Miller-School in Kassel. WAGO sponsored the connection technology for this project.
