4 February 2019Tool-Free Conductor Termination for 10 mm2 (8 AWG) Conductors
WAGO's TOPJOB® S Rail-Mount Terminal Blocks with their intuitive lever-actuated termination technology are specifically designed to connect machines and systems to the mains. The range of rail-mount terminal blocks with levers (2.5 mm2/14 AWG, 6 mm2/10 AWG and 16 mm2/8 AWG) has expanded to include a 10 mm2 (8 AWG) terminal block that will be available in 2- and 3-conductor versions.
For external wiring, WAGO's rail-mount terminal blocks are equipped with levers to open the clamping units. Push-buttons or operating slots are available for internal wiring.
A decisive advantage of lever technology: The lever has only two distinct positions, meaning the clamping point is either completely open or closed. Terminal block operation is intuitive and tool-free – simply actuate the lever by hand. The lever engages and keeps the clamping point open, freeing hands for wiring. This is a tremendous advantage – especially when terminating difficult-to-bend conductors with large cross sections. Alternatively, solid and stranded conductors, as well as fine-stranded conductors with ferrules can be terminated by just pushing them in via Push-in CAGE CLAMP® connection technology.
