Explosion Protection Products

Our flexible explosion protection product line can be combined safely, economically and in a size tailored to your application – and it does so with a uniform system covering everything from non-Ex areas to Ex areas and in overall production. WAGO also offers exactly what planners and system integrators want for special solutions.

Applying Explosion Protection in Automation Technology

Use both the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 and 750 XTR to make machines and systems more efficient and safer in atmospheres that are subject to explosion – and do so safely, reliably and economically. Modules within the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 and 750 XTR platforms are designed for use in both non-hazardous and hazardous areas. When used in hazardous areas of Zone 2/22, the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 offers a safe, easy and economical connection to the sensors and actuators of Zones 0/20 and 1/21. The blue Ex i I/O modules were specifically developed for this purpose. They form an intrinsically safe section that can be integrated into a standard fieldbus node, offering all the advantages of state-of-the-art fieldbus technology.

Benefits at a Glance

  • Approved for use in Zone 2/22 for integration of intrinsically safe signals from the field up to Zone 0/20

  • Comprehensive certification including ATEX, IECEx, NSI/ISA, INMETRO, etc. ensures use worldwide.

  • Intrinsically safe inputs with functional safety

  • Rated up to SIL 3, Cat. 4/PL e PROFIsafe
