Icons versus Pictograms

Icons (For the graphical implication):

of a topic
of an application / system functionality
of a strong abstracting sensor

Pictograms (For the graphical implication):

Clear visualization of the different devices in use without specification of the exact fabrication
Differentiation between WAGO-devices (abstract symbol, fully colored) and devices of other manufacturers (line drawings)
Typically used for the schematic drawings of networks

Don’ts

System graphics may not combined with other illustration styles, 3D images or photos. Only existing elements should be used. No random usage of colours that are not part of WAGO’s corporate colour palette.
