Compact WAGO Connector for Lighting and Device Connections

New 873 Series Variant for Conductor Cross-Sections from 0.34 to 0.75 mm²

WAGO is expanding its 873 Series with a new, more compact variant, providing lighting and device manufacturers worldwide with an innovative solution for powering LED modules. The compact design is ideal for secondary connections in spotlights, street luminaires, DALI sensors, and basic sensor applications. The connector stands out for its ease of use: the PUSH WIRE® connection for solid conductors enables direct insertion, eliminating the labor‑intensive crimping required by many comparable connector types. Thanks to its pluggable design, installation, maintenance, and replacement are quick and straightforward – no tools required.

The luminaire disconnect connector supports conductor cross‑sections from 0.34 mm² (22 AWG) to 0.75 mm² (18 AWG) and is available in 2‑ and 3‑pole versions. Integrated protective earth (PE) functionality and a locking lever ensure a high level of safety. UL and IEC approvals enable global use, and customized printing options are available. The connector is also SPE‑capable and suitable for general device connections.

While the socket remains identical to the larger Series 873 version, the plug has been redesigned with a more compact form factor – ideal for applications with limited installation space. This new variant combines proven technology with a reduced footprint, delivering a future‑ready solution for modern lighting systems.
