Maintaining: Social Standards

To do this, we base our actions on the standards issued by respected international associations. The basic labor standards of the International Labor Organization and the UN Declaration of Human Rights are integrated into these standards and thus into the WAGO Group's Code of Conduct. Company agreements with unions form a substantial contribution to high social standards. Since 2012, we've also been a member of the UN Global Compact, an international multi-stakeholder initiative, and support the ten principles of responsible corporate management.

Advantages: Diversity

We view a diverse workforce as an opportunity. One approach is, for example, supporting women in technical roles with a focus on mentoring and women-specific events. These initiatives have developed into a comprehensive WAGO women's network dedicated to our driven female professionals and managers. We signed the “Charter of Diversity” in 2017, and participate annually in Diversity Day.

Our employees should know that they are valued, regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic background, religion or beliefs, disability, age, sexual orientation or identity.


Promoting: Occupational Safety and Health

Our products stand for high quality and exceptional usability. We also want to make our workplaces as safe as possible for our employees. To achieve this, we introduced a management system for our occupational safety and health protection policy. In addition, our facility health management offices offer diverse programs to actively promote and maintain the health of our employees. We can prove our commitment with the Corporate Health Award and the “Demographically Oriented Company” certificate.


Enabling: Lifelong Learning

Professional training and qualification programs at every level give our employees a chance to develop their potential and improve their skills. This enrichment, in turn, motivates them and makes WAGO attractive to new employees. Since 1998, the WAGO Foundation has supported particularly driven trainees in nine different professions. Each year, as part of a public ceremony, the best trainees from two local counties are awarded prize money.
