International Energy Management

WAGO has internationalized its 3-Phase Power Measurement Modules to give system and machine operators worldwide access to the data they need to address the ever-increasing scrutiny of energy consumption. Initially launched for the European market, WAGO’s I/O modules can now also be used globally in virtually any network, including major networks used in the U.S. and Japan.

With its 3-Phase Power Measurement Modules, WAGO now provides energy management systems with the baseline data needed for consumption analysis. With their expanded functions, these I/O modules measure electrical data in three-phase power networks – including 3-conductor and 120 V networks – and are ready for use in both TN and IT networks.

Based on the voltage and current input signals, the I/O module determines the desired variables, such as voltage and current, reactive, apparent and effective power, energy consumption, power factor, phase angle and frequency. All variables are available in the process image, without requiring high processing power from the controller.

At a Glance:

  • Saves energy and costs by accurately measuring energy consumption values

  • Opens new national and international applications for use in different power networks

  • Diverse application possibilities, including in medium voltage systems by measurement via voltage transformers

  • Connect to the fieldbus-independent, compact and flexible WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750
