For Extreme Environments – WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 XTR

The extremely robust design of the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 XTR provides clear benefits: It maximizes system uptime, reduces space requirements and lowers energy and maintenance costs by foregoing additional air-conditioning. The system is appropriate for demanding applications in which the following are critical:

Advantages:

  • Extreme ambient temperatures
  • Immunity to electromagnetic interference and impulse voltages
  • Vibration and shock resistance
  • Explosion protection

Applications

Industrial and Mechanical Engineering

The comprehensive selection of I/O modules for different potentials and signal types saves time and money because the sensors/actuators can be wired directly – even in safety-related applications.

Building Automation

The broad portfolio enables flexible, cellar-to-ceiling solutions with conventional I/O modules, standardized industry-specific fieldbus protocols and subsystems for typical applications in lighting, shading, heating, HVAC and more.

Marine and Onshore/Offshore Automation

Use in these applications requires assessment and qualification by independent classification associations such as ABS, GL, LR, etc. More than half of the 20 tests administered apply to EMC. The results achieved from these tests permit operation on marine diesels exposed to vibrations and in the EMC-sensitive area of a vessel’s bridge (compass approval). Of course, these cost-effective modules are also suitable for other industries.

Process Automation

The safety of people, a clean environment and safe, trouble-free plant operation are particularly important to this sector. The possibility of use in hazardous locations is also a requirement in the chemical, energy, gas and oil industries. The WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM is suitable for use in Zone 2 in order to process field signals in Zone 1 and Zone 0 via intrinsically safe I/O modules.
