Award for Successful Personnel Department

We are not only a family-owned company, we are family-friendly, and we have the awards to prove it. Interns and trainees receive high-quality educations; engineers experience an innovative environment; and all of this pays for itself – because we have been considered one of the best employers in Germany since 2013.

Best Place to Learn

Since 2016, WAGO has been awarded the “Best Place to Learn” quality seal with an “Excellent” rating. In the AUBI-plus GmbH certification process, current and former trainees and trainers are anonymously surveyed on topics such as applicant selection, career-oriented learning, trainer suitability and training results. The quality criteria considered include integration, education planning, feedback, the design of training facilities and workplaces and personal development.

Employer Certified by TÜV Rheinland and Corporate Health Award

WAGO’s German locations have also been certified by TÜV Rheinland as “Excellent Employers” every year since 2015. Since 2017, the company has received an additional designation as “Parent-Friendly.” WAGO was also awarded the “Corporate Health Award” in 2018 for outstanding corporate health management. In the “Electrical Engineering/Small Parts Production” category, WAGO took first place, impressing the evaluators with its exemplary commitment to the health and performance of its workforce and its forward-looking, sustainable personnel strategy. This renowned prize is awarded by the trade journal Handelsblatt, EuPD Research Sustainable Management and the ias Group.

Fair Company

WAGO is part of the Fair Company initiative of companies that do not replace full-time positions with interns, volunteers, trainees or temps. College graduates who have applied for a permanent position are not fobbed off into internships; interns are not lured in with the vague promise of a permanent position sometime in the future. WAGO offers internships primarily to help orient interns professionally during the training phase and pays them an adequate expense allowance.

Family-Friendly Company

WAGO is committed to the compatibility of family and career, for which we have received the “Family-Friendly Company” award from the “AUSGEZEICHNET FAMILIENFREUNDLICH” Initiative. The designation is awarded by a joint initiative of the Minden-Lübbecke district (North Rhine-Westphalia), which includes representatives from commerce, management and employee and parent organizations.

2021 New Work Employer and “Best Employer for Women”

WAGO has received the “2021 New Work Employer” seal from New Work SE and the Leipzig Graduate School of Management. This award honors companies that promote individual development, value transparency, recognize achievement and take a participative, flexible approach to organization and leadership.
