What Guides Us: Transparency and Dialog

We provide transparent communication about our sustainability efforts and support our customers with credible sustainability labels and certifications.

Sustainability Communication

Since 2012: Voluntary sustainability reporting as part of the UN Global Compact and, since 2016, based on standards of the German Sustainability Code (DNK)

2023: Sustainability report for the 2022 reporting year according to GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standards ; also in preparation for future reporting obligations under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

Since 2024: WAGO Sustainability Highlights – until the reporting requirement comes into force, we will continue to publish a compact sustainability update annually, providing our stakeholders with clear information about the progress of our sustainability program.

Transparent Sustainability Communication at WAGO

In addition to the current update report, the sustainability website has been revised and expanded; all the relevant information is now available online for stakeholders. In parallel, we regularly communicate our progress and best practices on our social media channels.

We are currently working to establish uniform structures for corporate sustainability communication. The goal is to bolster internal knowledge transfer and develop a solution that meets the requirements of regulations like the Green Claims Directive. In this way, we are laying the foundation for credible, transparent, sustainable communication throughout the entire company.

We want informed customers and see this goal as an integral part of our sustainability approach. Through transparent communication and clear labeling of our sustainability services, we foster trust and support informed decision-making. Our focus is on established sustainability labels like EcoVadis. These are supplemented by externally audited certifications that document our standards and progress in a measurable and comparable way.
