What Is Pluggable Electrical Installation?
Pluggable electrical installation is the “plug and play” version of electrical installation. The pluggable connector system consists of a large number of different components and pre-assembled cables that are planned according to the specific application in advance of the installation phase and then simply plugged together on the construction site. In comparison to conventional installation, simple pluggable installation of a circuit, covering everything up to and including the load, can be completed in minimal time – with 100 % protection against mismating.
Where Is It Used?
The advantages of pluggable installation are especially apparent when installation requirements recur or are planned on a grid, as in typical infrastructure construction projects like office buildings, hospitals, schools, daycare centers, nursing homes and shopping centers. Typical examples include lighting installation in suspended ceilings, electrical installation in cable ducts and cavity walls and installation in floor boxes and system distribution boxes in raised floors.
