Energy Management Made Easy: Current and Voltage Tap for 2-Conductor Through Terminal Block

WAGO's new current and voltage tap (855-951/250-000) will immediately supplement its line of current and energy measuring equipment with a new, innovative solution. Combining WAGO's 2-conductor through terminal block with this new current and voltage tap provides the ideal basis for successful energy management, because current and voltage are required wherever electrical power is measured.

Your benefits:

  • Power data can be directly tapped into the power supply
  • Same overall width as a two-conductor 95 mm² (4/0 AWG) through terminal block
  • Easy installation – simply insert the tap into the jumper slot of the 2-conductor through terminal block
  • Integrated 250 A/1 A current transformer
  • Complies with accuracy class 0.5 for exact measurement results
  • Fused voltage path protects downstream measurement devices
  • Transformer short circuit and neutral point jumper
  • Various marking options for clear identification

Secure Protection and Precise Current Measurement

Lack of space is a prevalent problem in control cabinets, when it is necessary to install a number of current transformers and voltage taps. Time and installation also play a very important role. This current and voltage tap can be inserted quickly into the jumper slot of WAGO's 95 mm² (4/0 AWG) 2-conductor through terminal block, eliminating the final user's need for additional transformers or installation units.

Moreover, an integrated fuse protects downstream energy meters. An integrated current transformer with conversion ratio of 250 A/1 A allows precise current measurement per EN 61869-2, in accuracy class 0.5.
The current output connectors are marked with S1 (black) and S2 (red). Both termination and removal of fine-stranded conductors is performed via push-buttons.

Advantages of the 5-Pole Configuration (2 x S1 and 3 x S2):

  • Current transformer (S1 and S2) can be short circuited via jumper (2000-402)
  • Direct ‘Y’ point jumper on current transformer

The First Step for Successful Energy Management:

The voltage is connected using a redundant terminal block. The product is completed with optimum labeling options, guaranteeing clear marking in the control cabinet. Users can choose between continuous marking strips or the WMB Multi Marking System.

In short, the current and voltage tap, in combination with WAGO's 750 Series 3-Phase Power Measurement Module, is the first step in successful energy management.
