Terminal Strips for the Energy Market

Whether according to TAB, §14a EnWG, or §9 EEG, WAGO offers pre-assembled terminal strips specifically designed for the energy market. These are fully coordinated with the relevant grid operators and have unrestricted approval:

Fast and Hassle-Free Grid Connection – Compliant with Technical Connection Requirements (TAB), §9 EEG, and §14a EnWG

Avoid time-consuming self-assembly, uncertainties during acceptance, and reduce errors during testing with our pre-assembled transformer disconnect terminal strips (per TCRs of various grid operators) and relay terminal blocks (per §14a EnWG or §9 EEG) for controllable consumption and generation equipment. The color-coded terminal block design and up to three-line marking strips minimize mistakes during transformer measurement, testing, and maintenance. Additionally, labeling can be done directly on the circuit diagram with a QR code if required.

Pre-Assembled Transformer Disconnect Terminal Strips per TCR

The TCRs (Technical Connection Requirements) issued by grid operators specify how electrical systems at the grid connection point must be constructed. For transformer systems (typically above 100 A), a transformer disconnect terminal strip per TAB (Item No. 821-2xx) is mandatory. WAGO’s pre-assembled transformer disconnect terminal strips ensure safe, standard-compliant, and uninterrupted execution of measurement, testing, and maintenance on transformer systems.

Relay Terminal Blocks per §9 EEG for Controllable Generation Units

According to §9 EEG, operators of power plants, such as photovoltaic systems or combined heat and power (CHP) plants, must ensure their systems can be remotely controlled by the grid operator or direct marketer. For existing plants with outputs over 25 kW, feed-in power must be reducible to 70%. If no intelligent controller or power plant regulator (EZA controller) is available to perform this function, WAGO's relay terminal strip (Item No. 821-50x) provides the legally mandated remote control and feed-in management according to § 9 EEG. It is the practical, standard-compliant system interface.

Relay Terminal Blocks per §14a EnWG for Controllable Consumption Devices

§14a EnWG applies to controllable consumption devices such as charging stations and heat pumps. This enables grid operators to ease network loads by remotely controlling these consumers as needed. WAGO's relay terminal strips (Item No. 821-50x) ensure this controllability in full compliance with §14a EnWG and applicable standards, acting as the essential technical interface to the grid operator.
