The WAGO Sunblind Box 8DI/DO is the first product in the WAGO Building Ecosystem that is parameterizable via the WAGO App.

Efficient façade shading control is crucial in buildings, especially in large structures with multiple sun protection devices, enhancing both comfort and energy efficiency. The new WAGO Sunblind Box 8DI/DO simplifies sunblind control commissioning. When combined with control devices, like the WAGO Compact Controller 100, it enables decentralized shading control – featuring quick initial parameterization via the WAGO App and a mobile phone, eliminating specialized PC hardware.

Easily Parameterized

The WAGO Sunblind Box is part of the WAGO Building Ecosystem for facility automation and is easily parameterized through the WAGO App.

Practical Features and Versatile Installation Options

With ETHERNET-based connection (100BASE-T) via an RJ-45 connector and Modbus TCP control, up to four shading motors can be controlled through the four output channels (eight outputs). The box features a switch function for daisy-chaining multiple boxes. Equipped with 4-pole WAGO WINSTA® MINI Sockets (230 V), it fits compactly into floor boxes or suspended ceilings with only a height of 30 mm, allowing for mounting near the shading devices. The eight inputs can be freely programmed and are not logically linked to the output channels.

Easy Commissioning with Innovative Technology

The WAGO Sunblind Box offers hassle-free commissioning. The user simply enters the IP address of the connected device in the WAGO App and transfers data to the WAGO Sunblind Box by placing their iOS mobile device near the box. For Android devices, simply hold the phone close to the box. Thanks to NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, the box can even be parameterized without power. This innovative approach, combined with predefined parameters, makes setting up and configuring shading control easier than ever.
