Toolless Device Connection for High Voltages
MCS MIDI HV PCB Connector, 7.5 mm Pin Spacing, UL-Approved, for up to 600 V
The new MCS MIDI HV PCB connector system, featuring a 7.5 mm pin spacing and available in 2- to 8-pole versions, is equipped with a dedicated mating interface. Within this interface, the pins are separated by partitions and housed in individual pin chambers. The new single‑conductor female connector with lever thus achieves the required clearance and creepage distances for component approval in accordance with UL 1059, Use Group C, for field wiring up to 600 V. With this addition, the WAGO MULTI CONNECTION SYSTEM now offers a pluggable portfolio for toolless field wiring of devices intended for international use in applications up to 600 V, in accordance with UL 1059, covering current ratings from 5 A to 66 A, while maintaining a uniform connection technology.
Male headers with solder pins are available for wave (THT) and reflow soldering (THR), with straight or angled pins. Optional locking levers increase the reliability of the pluggable connection. Center and side locking levers are available for the female connector. Optional solder anchors for the THT(R) male headers also allow these components to be secured to the PCB, increasing the pluggable connection system’s resistance to cable tension. Users wire the MCS MIDI HV PCB connector with levers without using any tools. Solid and fine‑stranded conductors with ferrules can be inserted directly thanks to Push‑in CAGE CLAMP® technology. With the MCS MIDI HV, featuring a 7.5 mm pin spacing and 600 V UL rating, device manufacturers benefit from a compact connector system for currents up to 20 A, enabling the selection of a cost‑ and performance‑optimized solution for different device classes.
