LonWorks® in Building Automation
LonWorks® is a distributed automation system in which devices (nodes) communicate via bus using the LonTalk® protocol. The communication protocol can be implemented in any hardware structure and as an open standard, allowing LonWorks® products from different manufacturers to communicate with each other.
The individual nodes have their own intelligence and can execute various programs nearly independently of each other, while providing information to devices in other areas. The result is a flexible overall system with numerous functions for almost any networking options of varying complexity. This is mainly used in building automation. In the integrated system, all tasks are handled by interoperable devices without technology gaps.
Advantages of the LON® Module:
Configurable LonMark®-compliant network interface (249 network variables) for flexible applications
Compact housing of just 12 mm module width for space-saving installation
Free programming and various WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 interfaces provide great application flexibility
Save time thanks to easy configuration and streamlined engineering workflow
