WINSTA® Product Take-Back Enhances the Circular Economy

WAGO launches a product take-back initiative in the Netherlands – a significant step towards a circular economy.

WAGO Netherlands stands as a strong symbol of sustainability and environmental awareness. In the Netherlands, WAGO, in collaboration with its partner CIRCOLEKTRA, is launching a sustainable product take-back initiative in the spirit of the circular economy. The initiative aims to extend the service life of products, conserve resources and contribute to a sustainable construction industry.

Product Take-Back Initiative

The product take-back initiative allows customers and installers of WINSTA® products to return used items to WAGO. Once returned, the products are reintegrated into the cycle at their highest possible value. This process supports the transition from a traditional linear economy to a circular economy – keeping materials in the use cycle for as long as possible instead of discarding them at the end of their lifecycle.

Circular Economy at WAGO

This initiative in the Netherlands marks a major milestone for WAGO on the path to greater sustainability. It is part of WAGO's Circular Economy Action Plan, initiated in 2023 under the RE:CONNECT strategy. With a strong focus on the circular economy, WAGO aims to optimize its processes, make them more efficient and expand its sustainable product portfolio.

Our Partner CIRCOLEKTRA

WAGO works closely with its partner CIRCOLEKTRA for product take-back and preparation, ensuring a straightforward return process. CIRCOLEKTRA collects products in boxes, sorts and classifies them at workshops. With years of experience in managing return systems, CIRCOLEKTRA provides a well-established infrastructure across the Netherlands. These locations are situated with wholesale partners or directly on-site for conversion and renovation projects. CIRCOLEKTRA also contributes socially, working with social workshops that employ people distanced from the labor market.
