    WAGO’s industrial switches feature a redundant power supply and switchable ring redundancy, guaranteeing uninterrupted data communication. With a short recovery time of under 20 ms, the Xpress Ring increases your process reliability. The productivity and network availability of your machines and systems is always ensured. In addition to communication link redundancy, a redundant power supply, which can also be monitored using an alarm relay, is integrated into the switches. Even if the power supply fails, communication is not interrupted.
  • Advanced Security Functions
    The managed switches support comprehensive security functions (e.g., MAC Limitation and Port Security). This provides additional data flow control and protection of your system against cyberattacks via authentication per IEEE 802.1x, IGMP Snooping and broadcast and bandwidth limitation.
  • Modular and Expandable
    Exchangeable SFP modules can be used to adapt switches to various fiber optic cables and the associated required distances and fibers. There are SFP modules for multimode and single-mode fiber optic cables for ranges up to 80 km. With the ideal combination of copper and fiber optic cables, you are prepared for a large number of requirements.
  • Integrated Function Monitoring
    For monitoring and error reporting, the managed switch has configurable functions such as email alarms and SNMP traps. In addition, all switches except the ECO versions can monitor individual ports or the power supply via a potential-free alarm contact. A DIP switch is used to configure this function.
  • Various Operating Modes
    The unmanaged switches are ideal for direct plug-and-play use. Managed switches are available for applications where IP filtering or further interpretation of telegrams is required for the application.
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE+)
    Power supply and data transfer via ETHERNET cable: Power over Ethernet (PoE+) eliminates the separate power connection for devices connected to the switches via the IP network.

New Product

Communicate with Machines Wirelessly

The Wireless Access Point supports WLAN and Bluetooth®.

Wireless communication is a highly attractive option within industrial environments for quickly accessing machines or systems without installing a cable. To easily establish such a connection, WAGO now offers the new Wireless Access Point, which is installed directly on the outer surface of a control cabinet. It allows wireless transmission via WLAN (IEEE802.11a/b/g/d/n/r), Bluetooth® or Bluetooth® Low Energy. For example, this integration allows access to the machine controller with a tablet or smartphone via the PROFINET, Modbus/TCP or EtherNet/IP ETHERNET protocols.

Installing the compact Wireless Access Point is incredibly easy. A 50 mm diameter hole must be punched in the housing. The device is inserted through the hole and then secured from the inside with a suitable M50 nut. After that, all that needs to be connected is the data line through the RJ45 connector and, if necessary, the power supply. Alternatively, power supply via PoE is possible. The housing achieves the high IP67 protection rating, enabling use in harsh industrial environments.
