WAGO’s product range includes BACnet® controllers with an IP or MS/TP interface and BACnet/IP fieldbus couplers. The WAGO BACnet® Configurator is available for efficient commissioning. The WAGO I/O System and interfaces to bus systems, such as KNX® or DALI, are supported. The controllers are freely programmable according to IEC 61131-3. What is BACnet/SC?

BACnet/SC (BACnet Secure Connect) heralds a new era in modern IT infrastructure. It is thus finally possible to encrypt the approximately 25 million BACnet devices installed worldwide due to their 100% compatibility with existing BACnet/IP or BACnet MS/TP networks. Elaborate BBMD configurations, static IP addresses or unencrypted telegrams are now a thing of the past! With BACnet/SC, segments, networks, buildings or even entire properties can be connected to each other easily and securely.

What Is the Difference from BACnet®?

BACnet/SC is a new protocol layer in the OSI/ISO layer model of the BACnet® standard. This integration into the existing BACnet® standard provides the advantage that BACnet/IP or BACnet MS/TP networks are 100% compatible with the BACnet/SC network.

This means that existing BACnet/IP and BACnet MS/TP networks are encrypted by BACnet® routing into a BACnet/SC network. In order to switch to encrypted, manufacturer-independent data transmission via BACnet Secure Connect, no new programming of the BACnet® objects is required.

The Compact Controller 100 with real-time Linux® operating system offers users all the freedom they need: The compact controller can be freely programmed with CODESYS V3, but can also be used for IEC 61131-independent engineering.
