The exchange of information between industrial system is a must for digital manufacturing, thus driving increased networking on the plant floor plus connections to Cloud services. In order to help ensure information security and integrity tools are included in WAGO’s PFCs, Touch Panel 600 controllers and Edge devices. SSH and SSL/TLS encryption is used to establish secure web connections. In addition, a built in firewall and VPN provides protection against unwanted access.



All WAGO Controllers are equipped with the high-performing CODESYS industry standard. This enables software development in the IEC 61131-3 PLC programming languages (ST, FBD, LD, IL, SFC and CFC). As a trusted programming environment, CODESYS guides developers, enabling them to reuse and further develop existing programs without relearning software. This means that modern paradigms, such as Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), or other visualization technologies are available.
