Product Highlights

Solutions

Onboard Passenger and Freight Rolling Stock

To meet the requirements of the modern transportation industry, today’s trains are increasingly being equipped with more and ever more complex technology. WAGO understands the need to conserve space in this environment while simultaneously ensuring reliable, touch-safe connections that are easy to install and test in the field. By using our full-line of pluggable products and lever connections, Line-Replaceable Units (LRU’s) can be quickly removed and replaced, which keeps the trains moving.

Why Use WAGO?

  • WAGO's XTR family of PLCs & I/O is designed for extreme conditions - including shock and temperature - while meeting all railway specifications and now comes equipped with M12 connectors.
  • With direct insertion, TOPJOB®S products make terminating wires faster and easier.
  • The WAGO smartDESIGNER product configurator enables true 2D configuration/visualization while also providing error-checking and validation.

Railway Signal/Infrastructure Products and Applications

WAGO has developed unique software applications that utilize off-the-shelf (OTS) components. These applications provide railway customers with a customized Health Monitoring System that provides both fault information in real-time and extensive data logging capability. WAGO’s Train Presence Detection System (TPDS) also utilizes OTS to detect when a train is occupying a segment of track. This system is used to turn on/off power to wayside systems and can inhibit unsafe movement of switches.

Why Use WAGO?

  • XTR PLC & IO meet all railway specifications and offers a modular design, which enables customers to specify and design exactly what they need. We now offer units equipped with M12 connectors.
  • With e!COCKPIT software and online or in-person training, customers can program and make software changes themselves saving time and money.
  • WAGO's Field Application Engineers are very knowledgeable about the products and software. This support is offered free of charge for our customers.
