Description

WAGO's 3-phase power measurement module (750-495) measures electrical data in a three-phase supply network. The voltage is measured via network connection to L1, L2, L3 and N. The current of the three phases is fed to clamping units IL1, IL2, IL3 and IN (two clamping units each +, -) via current transformers. The 3-Phase Power Measurement Module transmits all metrics (e.g., reactive/apparent/effective power, energy consumption, power factor, phase angle, frequency, over-/undervoltage) directly to the process image, without requiring high computing power from the controller.

Both comprehensive metrics and harmonic analysis up to the 41st harmonic permit extensive network analysis via the fieldbus. These metrics enable the operator to optimize supply to a drive or machine, protecting the system from damage and failure.

Insulation failures can be detected and prevented via current measurement performed in the neutral conductor. The four-quadrant display indicates the load type (inductive, capacitive) and whether it is an energy consumer or producer.

The pre-assembled terminal block assembly (2007-8874) is mounted in the control cabinet to provide clearly structured wiring from the 3-Phase Power Measurement Module to the split-core current transformers (current measurement) and to the power taps (voltage measurement). This terminal block assembly offers an option for connecting current and voltage.

Current Measurement
WAGO’s Split-Core Current Transformers are ideal for upgrading existing systems in which the current path must not be disrupted. They can be opened on one or both sides – an indispensable feature for installation in tight spaces. The 855 Series Split-Core Current Transformers convert primary rated currents of up to 1,000 A into electrically isolated secondary currents of 1 or 5 A. The high level of accuracy of the split-core current transformer of up to 0.5 percent yields extremely precise current measurement. All transformers are supplied with color-coded cables. Two UV-resistant cable ties are also included for secure and easy mounting.

Voltage Measurement
Only in rare cases is secured voltage available in existing systems for voltage measurement. Using this unique tap-off module, fuse-protected measurement voltage can be tapped from an insulated conductor with just one manual rotation and without the need for any tools. The fuse acts directly on the primary conductor to provide optimal safety – an absolutely unique product that represents a breakthrough for fast and safe measurements in existing systems.

The WAGO-I/O-PRO Software is required for commissioning the I/O node.
