Design Meets Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence in Design

Artificial intelligence (AI) is playing an increasingly important role in design and is revolutionizing the way designers work. AI systems that are based on machine learning can analyze large amounts of data, recognize patterns and suggest creative solutions. These capabilities open up numerous new possibilities in the field of design.

AI enables the personalized design of user experiences. By analyzing user data, design solutions can be developed that are optimally tailored to individual needs and preferences. This is particularly important in the field of web and app design, where user-friendliness and individuality are crucial.

However, the use of AI in design also brings challenges. On the one hand, there is a risk that creative processes and human empathy will be displaced by automated systems. On the other hand, ethical questions regarding the use of data and copyrights need to be clarified.

Overall, the integration of AI in design offers great potential to increase creativity and efficiency. It is important to find the right balance between technical support and human creativity in order to achieve the best results.

Prompting Help

Our Recommendations

Writing a good prompt is crucial to getting accurate results from AI models. Here are some tips:

  • Be specific: Detailed prompts lead to better results. Example: “Sunny mountain landscape with clear sky and river in the foreground”.
  • Use keywords: Describe style, subject, colors and emotions. Use terms such as realistic, abstract, vivid, cool, dramatic, etc.
  • Describe the composition: Arrangement cues such as “centered”, “symmetrical” or “foreground focus” are helpful.
  • Give context: Describe precise characters, objects or environments. Example: “An elecrician wearing a blue uniform, standing on a small ladder”.
  • Consider light and atmosphere: Describe lighting conditions and mood, such as “at sunrise” or “in a foggy environment”.
  • Keep it clear and simple: A clear and concise prompt is often more effective

Keywords

  • Style: realistic, abstract, futuristic, minimalist, vintage, cartoon, impressionist
  • Colors: monochrome, vivid, pastel, contrasting, muted, warm, cool
  • Techniques: isometric, digital, flat, sketch, vector graphics, photorealism
  • Themes: nature, cityscape, portrait, still life, architecture
  • Lighting Conditions: daylight, night, twilight, backlight, shadow, neon light
  • Emotions: cheerful, melancholic, dramatic, calm, exciting, humorous
  • Composition: centered, symmetrical, asymmetrical, dynamic, balance, focal point
  • Textures: smooth, rough, detailed, patterned, organic, geometric
  • Characters: human, animal, fictional, superhero, historical figure, everyday person
  • Environments: rural, urban, futuristic, medieval, exotic, familiar

Example Prompt

A professional electrician installing a ceiling lamp in a modern apartment. The electrician is wearing a blue uniform, standing on a small ladder, carefully connecting wires to the lamp fixture. The room is well-lit with white walls, wooden flooring, and minimalistic furniture in the background. The scene should look realistic and detailed, with a focus on the electrician‘s work and tools.

Example Prompt

A scenic rural landscape with rolling green hills and a large solar farm. Rows of modern solar panels are neatly aligned, reflecting sunlight under a clear blue sky. In the background, there are a few wind turbines and a small farmhouse with solar panels on the roof. The scene is peaceful and eco-friendly, with birds flying in the sky and wildflowers blooming around the solar panels. The lighting is warm and natural, suggesting a sunny afternoon.

Post-processing

Post-processing of AI-generated images is a crucial step to enhance both the quality and visual uniqueness of the final result. This phase ensures that the images meet professional standards and align with brand identity.

  • Color Correction: Improvement of color harmonies and correction of unnatural tones.
  • Retouching: Removing blurs, distortions or artifacts.
  • Composition and Layout: Cropping and repositioning of image elements for optimal balance.
  • Image Resolution and Sharpness: Ensuring high-quality display across various media formats.
  • Content Review: Removal or adjustment of unexpected or inappropriate elements to ensure the intended message and context.
  • Individualization: Integration of specific brand elements (e.g., WAGO products) by a professional graphic designer to give the image a unique and brand-specific character.
  • Copyright Transfer: Only through post-processing and individualization does the image become a custom creation, allowing the copyright to transfer to us. AI-generated images used without modification do not legally belong to us.
  • Tools: Image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop.
  • Labeling: To ensure transparency and traceability, we include the name of the AI tool used to create each image directly in the file name. Additionally, images are marked according to the specific requirements of the respective output channel

AI Image Generation – Rules and Responsibilities

  • No Upload of Internal Product Images to Externally Hosted AI Tools:

When using AI image generation tools that are not hosted on our own servers (e.g., Midjourney, DALL·E, etc.), do not upload any product images or other copyrighted internal content. Reason: Uploading such content may result in loss of copyright, as many platforms reserve the right to use uploaded material for training purposes.

  • Mandatory Brand Training:

Use of external AI image tools for company-related purposes is only permitted after completing mandatory brand training. The training provides essential knowledge on trademark and copyright regulations and ensures correct usage in line with our brand iden
