The ETHERNET TCP/IP Fieldbus Coupler supports a number of network protocols to send process data via ETHERNET TCP/IP. Trouble-free connection to local and global (LAN, Internet) networks is performed by observing the relevant IT standards.
By using ETHERNET as a fieldbus, a uniform data transmission is established between factory and office. Moreover, the ETHERNET TCP/IP Fieldbus Coupler offers remote maintenance, i.e. processes can be controlled regardless of the location.
Process data exchange is performed via MODBUS/TCP protocol. The fieldbus coupler detects all connected I/O modules and automatically creates a local process image.
The HTML pages that are stored in the fieldbus coupler allow access to information on configuration, status, or I/O data of the ETHERNET TCP/IP fieldbus coupler. Only a standard WEB browser is required.
Dynamic configuration of the IP addresses via a BootP server provides a flexible and easy way to configure the network.
