New MCS MAXI 6 Connectors with Levers – Field Wiring in Next to No Time

The MULTI CONNECTION SYSTEM (MCS) expands: WAGO’s new MCS MAXI 6 line of pluggable connectors can terminate conductors with cross-sections up to 10 mm²(8 AWG) and has integrated levers for fast, convenient wiring.

WAGO’s MCS MAXI 6 Pluggable Connection System accommodates conductors ranging from 0.2 mm² to 10 mm² (20–8 AWG) and is ideal for power electronic applications requiring higher currents. Wire-to-wire and wire-to-board versions of the new pluggable connectors are available, and each version offers variants ranging from 2 to 9 poles with 7.62 mm pin spacing. With a rated current of 41 A, the system is ideal for connecting power electronics. Thanks to Push-in CAGE CLAMP® connection technology, solid conductors and fine-stranded conductors with ferrules can be terminated by simply pushing them into the unit. The connectors are available in two models for horizontal or vertical PCB mounting, providing extremely flexible PCB connections.

The new lever-equipped MCS MAXI 6 Connectors save valuable space – beyond the standard nominal conductor size, conductors up to the next-larger cross-section (10 mm²/8 AWG) can also be connected.

To meet the need for clear, convenient operation, WAGO offers MCS MAXI 6 Connectors with levers for intuitive, tool-free handling. Since no tools are needed to open the clamping unit, the connector makes in-hand wiring quick and easy – saving a significant amount of time during in-the-field wiring.

Lowering the lever requires no force, ensuring completely reliable connections. The lever clearly locks into the open/closed position with an audible click.

As with WAGO’s other industry-proven MCS products, the new pluggable connectors also provide 100 % protection against mismating, custom coding and optional locking options to ensure maximum safety for field wiring.
