Products for the Semiconductor Industry

When it comes to ramping up semiconductor manufacturers’ production quickly while guaranteeing exactly the same quality results, WAGO products are ideally positioned for industry requirements like “CopyExact.”

Within running production processes, it’s especially important to ensure immunity against voltage drops. Thanks to SEMI-F47 approval, the WAGO Pro 2 Power Supply portfolio guarantees voltage stability.

In addition to ensuring that processes run smoothly, data collection and analysis are essential for deriving optimization measures. The IoT Box offers various connection options and allows customer-specific docking to existing machines and systems with minimal effort – no need to interrupt the production process.

Sub-Fab

The sub-fab provides the infrastructure for the main factory. This includes continuous processes such as gas and water treatment, as well as air generation for clean rooms. Since the processes running in the sub-fab consume large amounts of energy, continuous data analysis and monitoring are important.

WAGO has developed its Energy Data Management solution to provide an overview of your energy consumption. Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning are major energy consumers. You benefit from ready-made functional modules for HVAC technology.

Ingot and Wafer Manufacturing

From the sand to the finished drawn silicon ingot:
Production sometimes involves challenging circumstances. These include dust and water, as well as corrosive atmospheres. These operating conditions are ideal for the WAGO IO System Field (IP67), which features decentralized provision of all DI/DO + IOLink signals on various Industrial Ethernet protocols.

The data is simply transferred to the cloud via MQTT or OPC UA. This makes it possible to perform ongoing monitoring, such as measuring the furnace temperature, as well as energy data monitoring.

Wafer Processing and Microchip Production

If process fluctuations occur, the risk can increase of producing scrap quantities. WAGO’s certified SEMI-F47 power supply products and retrofittable redundancy modules avoid these potential fluctuations and guarantee a stable supply of voltage and current

WAGO’s fieldbus-independent I/O System also allows continuous monitoring of current and energy data for the entire production process. We support classic fieldbus protocols and ETHERNET standards like EtherCAT®.

As interface modules between process peripherals and control and signaling equipment, the 857 Series Relays boast fast switching times and a long service life.

Packaging

The packaging process requires continuous monitoring and high cycle rates in product manufacturing. The WAGO IO System Field (IP 67), which simultaneously serves both the OT level via Ethernet protocol and the IT level via OPC-UA and MQTT, is ideal for fast data acquisition.

In the packaging process, the focus is on identifying potential for optimization and improving process quality. We offer tailored analytics solutions to support you in this process. These tools let you visualize dependencies within your system.
